Who is Julia?

- I found SL in January 2006 and the first thing I did was make my own outfit in the appearance editor! I shopped a lot for the first 3 months and decided to try my hand at designing in photoshop. I wasn't a graphic designer and had never used photoshop before. It is my love for the game, fashion, and color that made this match between me and SL so strong! The women and girls who wear Awesome Designs, give me the encouragement to create full time! I am a semi-retired registered nurse and mother of five kids from an infant - 15! I am thankful everyday for finding SL and the wonderful people inside the 'game'! After taking a medical leave from my night nurse job 10 months after my accident, I found SL on a sleepless night. I needed something to occupy my mind and give me a creative outlet. My neck and back problems won't let me return to floor nursing and most positions in the field. I still find myself 'nursing' sick people I meet a lot, which helps fill that void that I miss so much. I love my job as a graphic designer and so happy to have found SL!
